Prevention of Violence Against Sexual Minority Students

This website was created as a final project for course 427 Women and Violence at University of Washington. The following are suggested interventions for effectively and actively preventing violence targeted towards sexual minority youth.

Our assumptions:

Sexual minority youth deserve to grow up in an environment where they are safe and able to express themselves freely without the daily threat of abuse or violence.

By awarding positive behavior and not tolerating abusive and violent behavior, interventions described in these web pages could make a difference for the lives of those sexual minority youth that are just beginning their journey.
